Graduation

Emily's POV

This is it. Our final day in Hogwarts. It was finally the end to our seventh year. Andy and I met up with the other students and arranged a night at the Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade. We all agreed to it and left to get ready for the graduation ceremony which was due to start in an hour.

The Gryffindor students were up first to get their diplomas, meaning that Hufflepuff house was next, followed by Ravenclaw and Slytherin. I felt very nervous, holding onto Andy's hand very tightly, well not too tightly.

"It'll be okay. We'll be on after the Gryffindor students." Andy reassured me.

"Okay.." I responded, smiling sweetly.

"We're next." Danny informed us as the Gryffindors left the graduation stage.

"Can the graduating Hufflepuff students come forward please?" We heard Professor McGonagoll call out.

"This is it." Andy muttered under his breath as I held his hand as all the Hufflepuff students came to get their diplomas as the professor was calling their names out. I received a diploma for outstanding work in magical creature studies, herbology and medical potions while Andy received his for teamwork and excellent sportsmanship for Quidditch.

A few hours later gate the graduation ceremony and when everybody got their diplomas, we headed off to the Three Broomsticks for some celebratory drinks. A few of us had some butterbeer and watched Danny singing some loud drunk karaoke making us laugh until he drunkenly threw up on the stage, grossing us out in the process. That's when Andy and I decided to go to somewhere more calm in Hogsmeade which I agreed to.

Andy's POV

We decided to go to a small cafe in Hogsmeade. We ordered two glasses of pumpkin juice, a slice of Boston cream pie and a slice of red velvet cake. As we waited for our orders to be served, I decided to give Emily a little something of ours, a book full of the memories we had together from the previous years at Hogwarts, compiled with photos, entries and other things, including two paw prints from Crow and Whitby.

"I can't believe we've been together for seven years." Emily sighed dreamily.

"Seven golden years." I agreed as our orders were served and we began enjoying them.

Chica's POV

While Andy and Emily were away to that small cafe, I felt Laurence take my hand and leading me to the little karaoke stage, which was cleaned up because of Danny's drunken vomiting.

"Laurence, what are you doing?" I asked nervously as the students watched with anticipation, preparing myself as colourful lights shone on us and the room began to become dark.  I heard him clear his throat and saw him going down on one knee.

"Chica, mia bella, I love you so much and I want to spend the rest of my life, telling you, so...Chica...will you marry me?" Laurence asked, a spark of hope in his emerald green eyes as he presented a beautiful engagement ring.

"Si, Laurence. Yes I will." I answered, my eyes filling with tears of happiness as Laurence got up and gently slid the ring onto my finger before we engaged in a romantic kiss as the students applauded as they watched. We heard a love song beginning to play in the background so we started slow dancing as a newly engaged couple, sharing several sweet kisses along the way.
